When Ashley, owner of A. Paint and Body Repair Ltd, was introduced to Lucy Eyley by Kate Allen of Simply Seven, he'd already tried other Virtual Assistants. "I spoke to other VAs when trying to find the right support for my growing business. I just didn't click with them, so I didn't progress beyond the initial call and brainstorming stage." A year on, it's a very different story: "Things would get very messy if I didn't have her supporting me and my business. I couldn't be without her now."
Juggling customer work and admin meant enquiries sat unanswered for too long. "I was previously losing work because I wasn't able to process emails and enquiries quickly enough. I was losing jobs." Letting go didn't come naturally either: "I had worries initially about delegating and handing tasks over because I'd always done it myself - but not particularly well."
"I just really clicked with her. I like how she's available at all times and is always chipping away at work. She's not limited to 9-5 and that's really helpful to me." More than that, he says, "She understands my brain. She just gets me."
Lucy took ownership of the whole enquiry-to-client journey. "She manages my diary and workload, books in jobs, sends quotes and gets deposits paid." And the handover was painless: "She made the process really easy and now manages everything seamlessly."
"She saves me time. She makes me money. She takes away the headache."
Jobs no longer slip through the cracks, and customers get a more polished experience from the first contact. "Lucy brings a more professional approach to my business, which makes my business look more productive and professional." Day to day, "I go into my emails and it's all done. It works like a dream."
His advice to other business owners? "If you're struggling... use Lucy!"
"I couldn't imagine running my business now without Lucy supporting me."
